Instead of uniform blocks, this layout used tailored, low-profile wire blankets to line the hill slope smoothly.
Mesh Core: Double-twisted hexagonal steel wire. This layout guarantees that if an isolated wire snaps from a rock impact, the remaining mesh grid stays locked together without unravelling.
Anti-Rust Treatment: Wires are manufactured as Galfan coated gabion baskets and mats, mixing 95% zinc with 5% aluminum to secure a functional life exceeding 50 years in wet mountain soil.

Contractor Installation Process

The site installation bypassed heavy machinery delays:
1.Preparation: The loose hillside mud was trimmed and covered with standard geotextile cloth to stop fine soil from migrating out.
2.Assembly: Flat-packed wire units were opened on-site and linked corner-to-corner using pneumatic hog-ring lacing tools.
3.Filling: Workers utilized small mechanical excavators to dump local 100mm gray limestone directly into the cells. Lids were clipped tight in one continuous shift.
This direct pipeline saved the contractor 30% in general labor costs and eliminated all concrete drying wait-times.

Verification after 4 Years

Recent site reviews show total hillside immobility.
Native grass and alpine shrubs have grown completely through the limestone stone gaps, binding the metal grid naturally to the hill.
